THE OPPORTUNITY: |
To create an International Newsletter (print) for an
existing client. Target audience for Newsletter: Europe,
Australia and South America.
THE CLIENT ORGANIZATION: |
(Has asked to keep name confidential)
BIGGEST HURDLE: |
Creating a string of contributors in each of the target
areas. | |
PIECE OF CAKE DECISION: |
Getting our Designer to come up with a smashing
Newsletter Logo to go with the name we created.
SURPRISE: |
The consumer and advocate organizations in key countries
of the targeted area are most willing to help with
educational information and to recommend as stringers. Yes,
suitable donations are appropriate, but cost is balanced out
by cutting down on the travel time and international phone
calls. | |
HELPFUL HINT: |
Learn how to transfer text and image files via e mail and
the net. | |
OUR THINKING: |
Involve many indigenous people, be people oriented, try
to create the assumption that this is not created in the
United States, and make sure you get the local patois
translated idiomatically, so it seems 'local and personal'
to the reader. The Premier Issue must be exceptional, but
issue number four and five must maintain the standard.
Concentrate on News that provides information, yet is
handled in an informal manner....not too stiff.
FINALLY |
We were asked to develop a plan for a Video Journal to
supplement the print Newsletter. No word yet.
